Tyler Hopper

Posted 2/1/06

Tyler was diagnosed with Chari Malformation Type I, a compression in the brain. In Tyler`s case the brain had been pushed down and was pinching off his spinal cord, which would damage nerves and restrict the flow of the spinal fluid to the brain.

He is recovering so fast now and is starting to manipulate his fingers to count and such. He is so happy now that he is out of such severe pain. I am so thankful for Dr. Boaz and Riley`s Hospital. The doctors and nurses at Riley Hospital were supportive, loving and wonderful.

Dr. Boaz made us feel like Tyler was in the best hands he could ever be in. My son's recovery was nothing short of a miracle. Tyler can now be on his way to a normal life thanks to the wonderful people of Riley.

May God bless Riley.
