Riley's Nephrology Specialists are all board certified or board eligible and work together with Riley urologists and dialysis nurses to provide highly specialized and expert care to several hundred patients with acute and chronic renal failure.

Riley's Nephrology Specialists services include renal biopsies to diagnose kidney disorders, acute hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis for patients with acute kidney failure or poisonings, and chronic hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis for children in permanent kidney failure.

• Hemodialysis Technology: The Pediatric Dialysis Center also offers veno-venous hemofiltration and continuous veno-venous hemofiltration. The Riley nephrology team has adapted this technology, which has been used with great success in adults, to provide better care for critically ill children with sudden onset kidney failure.
• Kidney Transplantation Leadership: As the only pediatric kidney transplant program in the state, Riley has long been a leader in this area and works closely with Riley pediatric transplant surgeons before and after the transplant operation.
