Celebrating the POWER for a Healthier Tomorrow
10/21/2009INDIANAPOLIS – In honor of the Riley Hospital for Children's Pediatric OverWeight Education and Research (POWER) program's one year anniversary, Riley Hospital is hosting 'The POWER for a Healthier Tomorrow' 5K Walk and Celebration sponsored by U.S. Kids magazine and The Saturday Evening Post. There will be plenty of fun for the entire family including a non-competitive 5K walk, pumpkin decorating, face painting, cooking demonstrations, yoga, Zumba, the Indiana Pacers Fan Van with an appearance by Boomer, and much, much more!

The POWER program takes a proactive role in the prevention and treatment of youth obesity through structured lifestyle modification. It is a multi-level program that includes continuing education for physicians and community programming, as the as the POWER clinic located at Riley Hospital.
