Workshop to Train Special Care Sitter Instructors

INDIANAPOLIS – Parents know how hard it can be to find a good babysitter. Add in a child with a disability or a special health care need and the search to find someone with the necessary skills is an even bigger challenge.
In an effort to develop a group of babysitters trained to care for children with disabilities, Riley Hospital for Children's Community Education and Child Advocacy Department created the Special Care Sitter program. Riley Hospital is now looking to increase the number of instructors it has to train these teenagers in a Special Care Sitter Workshop.
| WHO: | Parents, grandparents, family members, therapists, child care providers and individuals with experience caring for children with disabilities. |
| WHAT: | The Special Care Sitter Instructor Workshop provides adults with the knowledge to conduct their own Special Care Sitter classes. |

Lunch will be provided. The class fee is $15.
