Indy 500 Drivers Highlight Rileys Special Race-themed Party

Indianapolis - Patients at Riley Hospital for Children will get the opportunity to meet and interact with IRL drivers at a special race-themed party.

WHAT: Children who are being treated at Riley can take a break from their medical routine for crafts, games and a taste of the Indy 500 excitement.
WHEN: Thursday, May 15
7:00-8:30 pm
WHERE: Riley Hospital for Children - Atrium Lobby

Tom Weisenbach, executive director of the Indiana Motorsports Association and former IRL executive, will also be in attendance to show his support. Tom's daughter, Megan, is a Riley patient and was diagnosed at the age of 4 with Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS). According to the MPS Society, MPS is a genetic lysosomal storage disease caused by the body's inability to produce specific enzymes. As a result, cells do not perform properly and may cause progressive damage throughout the body, including the heart, bones, joints, respiratory system and the central nervous system.
